Hello there, I am John and I thought about writing this like I was famous or someone else was hired to do it, but let’s just stick to the facts. I am a man, most of the time. In addition to my gender, I grew up in west Limerick, which is in Ireland, and I also grew up on a dairy farm, something which haunts me to this day. In 2018 I foolishly did an open mic in Dublin and found my ‘purpose’, the horrible thing, and now I’m happy and always miserable about comedy and everything related to it. It’s really a dream come true.

It’s also taken me almost a year to update this page, which gives you an indication of how much my ADHD, that I probably have, has affected my ability to do even the most basic and simple tasks.

I have had minor success. Someone once mistook me for a person who had a TV show, which felt really good. I also won a comedy competition in 2019, something I have failed to do since. To make matters worse, it was my very first comedy competition, making me think I was especially brilliant until I didn’t win the next three finals with the same 8 people in them. Still, I’ll always have Valentine’s day, Bray, 2019 when I didn’t do anything with my girlfriend, won the trophy, and lost the lady. But that was 3 years later in an unrelated act of her being unfaithful.
