John O'Keeffe grew up on a farm in rural Ireland, where the working day started at six and nobody ever clapped. Eight years into stand-up, he has built a deadpan, unhurried act out of exactly that — the Irish specifics, the family, and the quiet philosophical crises hiding inside both.
Based in Dublin, he tours regularly across Europe — Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and beyond — and has taken multiple shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, including a sell-out run in 2025. He has shared bills with Michelle Wolf, Joanne McNally, David O'Doherty and Neil Delamere, and provided tour support for Steve Hofstetter, Andre De Freitas, Amos Gill and Willa White. This August he is back in Edinburgh with four shows a day.
